General Rules and Safety
- Race Control located on the Rostrum.
- Toilets are located behind the café.
- Only BRCA licence holders may enter the Pitlane or go on track.
- A Hi-Viz top must be worn when in the pitlane and on track. Gloves are optional but recommended
- No Smoking in the Pit Shelter, On the Rostrum, In the Pitlane or whilst Marshalling.
- One way system in the Pit Lane and on the Rostrum. Enter from the Pit Shelter area and exit the far end only.
- Charging stations available on the Rostrum.
- LiPo batteries must be charged inside a LiPo Safe bag at ALL
- NDOR has no waste facilities so please take your rubbish away with you.
- Report any accidents or injuries to Race Control.
- Remember you are responsible for your own safety when marshalling so please be alert and cautious. Report any concerns to Race Control.
Marshalling
- You will marshal the heat that follows your heat (if you are the last heat of the round
then you will marshal the first heat).
- Your race number will determine which marshal point to attend unless informed otherwise by Race Control.
- Remember you Hi-Viz.
- You need to return your equipment to your pit table and head straight out to marshal.
- You must not be on your phone or be vaping / smoking.
- Only step on to the track when you deem it safe to do so, you are responsible for that decision.
- When marshalling a nitro vehicle avoid picking it up using the sides as you may burn
yourself on the exhaust or stall the engine by smothering the exhaust.
- If the wheels are spinning raise your hand in the air as a signal to the driver to apply the brakes.
- Put the vehicle on the same part of the track that it came off and in the correct orientation.
- If a vehicle is broken or the engine has cut, recover the vehicle back to your marshal point. It is the responsibility of the pit crew
to recover the vehicle from you.
- Remain at your marshal points until the race is over, some drivers will still be completing their laps after the end-of-race announcement.
Drivers
- Wait until the previous race has finished before standing at your location on the rostrum.
- No driving around the track before the track is announced open by Race Control
- The track will open 2 minutes before the round starts, this is a warm up session.
- For all rounds other than finals, the start of the round will immediately follow the 2 minutes warm up.
However, your individual timer will not start until you cross the timing line which is why it is important
to find space rather than wait at the start line.
- Once the round has ended, keep going until your name is called out to say you have finished.
- Be courteous to other drivers and marshals, we don’t want to hear or see any abuse. Penalties will be
given if deemed necessary by Race Control for any misconduct.
- In all rounds excluding finals, don’t hold up faster drivers, let them through as it will be benefit both of
- In the finals, if you are trying to lap someone and they haven’t realised they’re not defending a position,
politely inform them. Race Control will do their best to monitor this too.
- Also In the finals, if you cause an accident, it is common etiquette to stop and wait for that person to be
Purposely causing an accident is not tolerated and may end in disqualification.
- If you need marshalling and haven’t been seen, call out the marshal point number. E.g. “Marshal 5”.
Race Control will also monitor this.
- If you crash or stop in a dangerous position it is a good idea to inform other drivers.
For example, “Car on the main straight!”.
We've noticed that the AMB 3 wire transponders don't seem to work on our system. Some times they do, sometimes they don't. SO WE ADVISE ON NOT USING A 3 WIRE AMB TRANSPONDOR. If you use one, then we won't be held responsible for missed laps.
